Paediatric

Paediatric plastic surgery is a highly specialised field. Children may require plastic surgery for correction of conditions present at birth (congenital anomalies), or for treatment of traumatic injuries that occur during childhood. Corrective surgery aims to improve function and minimise cosmetic issues associated with these conditions, as well as increase self-esteem, which can lead to improved social and psychological development.

Skin Lesions/ Birthmarks

Birth marks and vascular lesions in children can be removed in a relatively straight forward way.

Hand Surgery

Plastic surgery remains at the forefront in the treatment of traumatic, or injury related hand surgery for children.

Craniofacial/ Trauma

Craniofacial techniques allow for the treatment of cranial and facial injuries, as well as improvements and refinements in facial cosmetic surgery.

Otoplasty

Otoplasty, or setback of the ears, is a commonly performed procedure in children, but also in adults.

Our philosophy is to treat all patients as we would be expected to be treated ourselves.
