General Reconstructive

Plastic Surgery encompasses a very wide range of procedures and disciplines. It is concerned with the delicate surgical handling of tissues in all parts of the body, using detailed knowledge of the blood supply and behaviour of those tissues to enable both treatment and restitution of form and function.

Our surgical philosophy remains much as that of the sixteenth century Italian Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, Gaspare Tagliozzi:

“We restore and make whole those parts which nature or ill fortune have taken away, not so much to delight the eye but to buoy up the spirit of the afflicted.”

— Gaspare Tagliacozzi, 1597

Our philosophy is to treat all patients as we would be expected to be treated ourselves.
